Last March at least 14 families in Athens were affected by removal and detention by ICE of one of the parents or son. Since then, some of them have been deported and some are still waiting at the detention center to have their first hearing. These families have been left with one less salary and the extra burden of having to pay for bond and lawyers fees. Most of the families have several school age children. As a community we want to support them. All funds raised will go directly to support the basic needs of these families through a local organization Casa de Amistad, AIRC and Community Support for Families.
